Recorded live at Moods Club Zurich on August 28, 2023.
„Home“ is a song that expresses the longing for a place of belonging and comfort. It was originally written and performed by the band „Crown“ in 1989, but it gained more popularity when three of the former members of „Crown“ – Rick Boyaci, Patrick Geser and Urs Haussener – re-recorded it as „Van Dan“ in 1991 and 1992. The song was featured on the cassette „Back on Track“ and the EP „Rag, Tag and Bobtail“, and it became one of the most recognizable and signature songs of Van Dan’s career.

LYRICS
«Home»
I was searchin’ through the years – for something I didn’t know was it fun – or was it love oh, oh, oh – or my home I left behind
Over the land across the sea – I’ve been like a rollin’ stone the whole world was here for me to see oh, oh, oh – but my home I left behind
Evil and good, side by side – have lead me through my long ride but always the light – drives away the dark oh, oh, oh – now I know, where to go
All that glitters is not gold – so was not my misty goal misty hopes – and misty dreams oh, oh, oh – over the land across the sea.
I’m goin’ home – go back home – away is my sorrow I’m comin’ back – home sweet home – my daylight of tomorrow The whole world – is here for me – but now I know it’s the same – same all over – all I need is my home
